Importance and Purpose of human life

"Jantunam nara janma durlabam"

It is very very difficult to obtain human birth - Lord Krishna

• The sacred percepts affirm that among the 84 lakhs life-forms, human life is the highest.
• This importance to human life is because god has given intellect to human being. With this intellect he differentiates, righteous - unrighteous, holy - sin, eternal - noneternal, truth - false.
• He also uses this intellect in search of GOD, knows that he is not body, mind, sense and intellect, and finally realises that "He is GOD himself”. This is not possible by any other living being.
• As human beings have desires, they can fulfill them by righteously earning money. At the same time they have to meditate god to attain salvation (self-realisation).This is their primary duty. 
• The human life is not for enjoying the luxuries, increasing the material assets, and to earn name & fame. It is to know that "He is GOD himself" and his nature is "Eternal Joy".
• Human life is higher than that of the 33 crore gods and goddesses. Are you surprised at this?Yet this is true. Though gods have more power and they experience more material happiness than human beings, only humans have the ability to attain "Self-Realisation" or "Eternal Joy". Even gods have to take human birth in order to get enlightened.   
• Life goes in vain if you do not realise the ALMIGHTY. So make it meaningful.
