GURU BRAHMA, GURU VISHNU, GURUDEVO MAHESHWARAHA
GURU SAKSHATH PARABRAHMA TASMAI SRI GURAVE NAMAHA

In general the meaning given to this slokha is
"Guru is lord Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara"

But this not the correct meaning of this slokha

          Correct meaning:

The one who is the guru of lord Brahma.
The one who is the guru of lord Vishnu.
The one who is the guru of lord Maheshwara.
He is parabrahman.I salute that parabrahman

---Siddhaguru Ramanananda Maharshi

  • There are several types of Gurus in this world. Not all can give you self-realisation.
  • Only the one who has already attained self-realisation and who can give self realisation to others are real Gurus.
  • All others are teachers not Gurus. The teachers can give you an understanding of what almighty is, but they cannot show you the almighty.
  • Formally we have to attain self-realisation. Later with the order of almighty we have to preach others. Without the order of almighty all the preachings are void.

CONVERSATION BETWEEN RAMAKRISHNA PARAMAHAMSA AND A PANDIT

Once Ramakrishna Paramahamsa strictly questioned to pundit (Scholar)

Paramahamsa : "Did you get order from almighty? Did almighty ordered you to preach the religion?"

Pundit : "No I did not get any order"

Paramahamsa : "Then your preachings are Vain! People will listen to you for sometime, but it will not remain for a long period"

In a very short time all the above words of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa became true. The pundit lost all his name and fame and everyone started criticizing him.

    • It is highly impossible to attain self-realisation with the service to ordinary Gurus (teachers).
    • You can attain self-realisation within seconds by the service to Siddhaguru (the one who has attained self-realisation).
    • Association with ordinary Gurus is like travelling in a bullock cart. Association with SiddhaGuru's is travelling in an Aeroplane.

The messages of the saints on the glory of Siddhaguru

"Guru is nothing but shiva. There is no doubt in this.
With out the grace of a Siddhaguru one cannot attain self-realisation."

                                                                           ---Siddhaguru DakshinaMurthy

"The main sign of a person who is an incarnation of god is his ability to give salvation. He can liberate us from our fate. That is he can change the ordinance. Even the saints who have attained higher states cannot do this. Only, those persons who are incarnations of god can receive the sins of others. Ordinary gurus cannot do this."

    ---Siddhaguru Swami Vivekananda

"One who thinks that gods & goddesses are greater than Siddhaguru are misfortunate. All gods & goddesses including Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara have death at the end of kalpa (1000 mahayugas or 432,000,000 years). But this not the case with Siddhaguru, He is eternal. The power of Siddhaguru is limitless. The power of Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara is nothing when compared to that of Siddhaguru.People with low intellect cannot understand this."

                                                                                  ---Sidhaguru Samardha Ramadas
                                                                                            (Guru of Chatrapati Shivaji)

"Guru means not the body that we see with our eyes. One who thinks in such a way has not actually understood the Guru tatva (Real nature of the guru)."

                                                                                    ---Sidhaguru Swami Rama

"Start with actions that are desireless and give up the intellect of doing the action. Surrender completely to Guru and doing actions according to the inclination of guru is known as real karmayoga"

    --- Siddhaguru Aravinda Yogi

"Guru's benevolence is chief and requisite. All other things are just helping instruments. Guru's grace is excessively important. The result of Guru's benevolence is self-realisation. Instead of japa, speeches, reading spiritual books and meditations, Guru's limitless benevolence gives more result.  Guru is needed until you attain self-realisation. Guru and almighty are one and the same. Guru is not separate from almighty"

    --- Siddhaguru Ramana Maharshi
